Product Description
Koinobori Windsock 80cm
Koinobori: meaning "carp streamer" in Japanese, are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku, a traditional calendrical event which is now designated a national holiday: Childrens Day (Kodomo no Hi).
These windsocks are made by drawing carp patterns on paper, cloth or other nonwoven fabric. They are then allowed to flutter in the wind. They are also known as satsuki-nobori.
The Koinobori offered here are personally hand purchased by James on his visits to Japan.
They make a lovely Christmas or Birthday gift for use outdoors or indoors, ideal decorations for around a Koi pond or in a fish house!
