Tetra Oxygen Test Kit
All living organisms, even plants, require oxygen to survive and thrive. A low oxygen concentration will cause the pond inhabitants to slowly suffocate making them increasingly likely to become ill.
Oxygen is also required by a ponds biological filtration to convert toxic ammonia and nitrite into nitrate.
The Tetra Test enables you to easily measure oxygen levels in your aquarium to ensure that you are providing suitable conditions.
Application
- The TetraTest Oxygen kit is a liquid kit, which works by changing the colour of a water sample in relation to the oxygen concentration. You simply need to compare the colour of the sample to the enclosed colour chart, to determine the oxygen level.
- It is advisable to test oxygen levels first thing in the morning, as this is when they are likely to be lowest. We recommend testing the oxygen levels every 2-3 weeks, or more frequently during hot weather.
